Hi,
if it's still of interest, please try the attached build. I've rewritten big parts of the control and fixed many bugs and memleaks. AutoUpdate has been rewritten completely. So you've good chances that the crash is gone.
However, I've not yet tested this build on any other OS than WinXP SP2.

Okay, if this one doesn't work, I'll probably have to give up on this issue. During the last 2 weeks, I've checked more or less each single line of the code at least twice. I've found and fixed many bugs. The crash you're reporting is the last open bug.
Maybe it's a buggy shell extension on your PC that is causing the crash. Or maybe the lack of Unicode support in ExplorerTreeView 1.x (although this would be very strange). :dontknow:
However, my tester and myself will do intensive testing (mainly on Windows 2000 and Windows XP) this weekend.
